DODIK: KONAKOVIĆ'S LETTERS TO U.S. UNIVERSITY CANNOT CHANGE ANYTHING

BEOGRAD, APRIL 15 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik states that people in the United States, contrary to the expectations of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers Elmedin Konaković, understand the situation in BiH, and that his letters cannot change the fact that he will receive recognition at the US Judson University as a person who promotes freedom and democracy.

Dodik emphasized that Konaković, by sending a letter to this American university, abused his position and that what he stated does not represent the policy of BiH, but rather his personal stance. "Contrary to his expectations, people there understand what is going on," Dodik told the press in Belgrade. According to Dodik, everything Konaković has done during his term has been beyond the positions of the BiH Presidency and the agreed foreign policy. "That is a failed policy and the embryo, i.e. the essence of the disintegration of BiH. Those who had a monopoly on lies, such as /the Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency/ Denis Bećirović and Konaković, now believe they are indispensable and that only they can speak. This is a completely misguided approach that does not contribute to preserving trust among the factors in BiH and helps nothing," Dodik said. He stressed that they cannot change the reason why he is traveling to the United States or why he is receiving recognition from Judson University. "Now the reason for which I will receive this recognition as a person who promotes freedom and democracy is even more justified. They see the conditions in which we work and that my selection this year is justified," Dodik said. If we adhere to some normal standards, which do not exist here, procedures, laws, and agreements in BiH must be respected. "No one, not even myself, can present a position on behalf of BiH unless it is agreed upon within the BiH Presidency. They think they are Bosnia. They only lie and manipulate. Banja Luka, Doboj, Bijeljina, Trebinje, Istočno Sarajevo, Foča - all of this belongs to Republika Srpska. It is a predominantly Serb community with the dominant authority of Srpska," Dodik stated. They, Dodik emphasizes, can only contribute to dismantling BiH while strengthening Republika Srpska. "There will be an opportunity in the United States to speak about what kind of minister he is, who has dismantled everything he could. Regardless of the false process and their gloating over it, we are making more progress internationally than he is. Many have recognized his lies," Dodik said. He noted that he has not canceled his flight ticket to the United States and that the administration of Judson University has neither responded nor informed him about Konaković's request. In his letter to Judson University, Konaković expressed concern that Dodik's address would be contrary to the values they uphold.
