KONAKOVIĆ'S POLITICAL COMMUNICATION DOES NOT LEAD TO RECONCILIATION, BUT RAISES TENSIONS
SARAJEVO, APRIL 18 /SRNA/ - Statements by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers Elmedin Konaković, at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum represent an unacceptable level of political communication and a deliberate raising of tensions in the region, said Sanja Vulić, head of the SNSD caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
Vulić stated that the use of inappropriate language, attacks on the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, and labeling of SNSD leader Milorad Dodik do not contribute to resolving problems, but instead deepen divisions and further damage already fragile relations. "Instead of such rhetoric, responsible behavior and policymaking in the interest of stability are expected, rather than personal promotion and political confrontations," Vulić emphasized. She stressed that Milorad Dodik is not a convict, but a leader of the Serb people. "While Konaković is frustrated and in mourning," Vulić said. "By listening to Christian Schmidt instead of his own people, Konaković has reached the brink of political downfall." "Neither Schmidt, who has been more ruthless towards Dodik and the Serb people than Hitler, nor Sena Uzunović, who gloats over murdered Serbian children and sentences every Serb to prison, have helped Konaković make BiH unitary and the Serb people exterminated. BiH will be Dayton-based or it will not exist at all!" Vulić concluded.
