VULIĆ: NEW JUDICIAL ACTIONS PART OF ONGOING PRESSURE ON SRPSKA INSTITUTIONS

SARAJEVO, APRIL 21 /SRNA/ – Head of the SNSD Club in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Sanja Vulić said in a statement to SRNA that the opening of new cases against certain Republika Srpska officials represents a continuation of pressure on the institutions of Republika Srpska.

Reacting to reports that the BiH Prosecutor's Office has opened a case against the head of the Republika Srpska Representation Office in Austria, Mladen Filipović, as well as other individuals who are alleged to be calling for, inciting, or preparing Republika Srpska's independence from BiH, Vulić said that the conduct of the BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office toward Republika Srpska institutions and representatives is not surprising. "This is not the first time cases have been opened without a clear objective or with questionable legal grounds, which further deepens distrust in the work of judicial institutions," Vulić noted. She assessed that previous proceedings have also shown a tendency to make decisions based on disputed interpretations, which has had serious political consequences, including situations that directly affected democratically elected representatives of Republika Srpska. "Only political losers or foreign proxies can apply a law that has not been adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly," Vulić assessed. According to her, such actions are perceived as attempts to weaken Republika Srpska's institutional position and political autonomy. "Representatives of Republika Srpska, through their actions, seek to preserve the constitutional order defined by the Dayton Peace Accords, while certain circles within the judiciary and part of the globalist community act toward its reinterpretation," Vulić concluded.
