BANJA LUKA, APRIL 21 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik has stated today that SNSD expects victory in the next general elections and will propose candidates for the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH and the President of Republika Srpska.

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 21 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik has stated today that SNSD expects victory in the next general elections and will propose candidates for the Serb member of the Presidency of BiH and the President of Republika Srpska.

"I expect major victory for SNSD in all constituencies and around 40 percent support. We will have joint candidates with coalition partners proposed by SNSD, for the member of the Presidency and the President of Republika Srpska", Dodik said at a press conference. Dodik stated that he expects a two-thirds majority at the level of the National Assembly, enabling it to participate in a sovereign manner in the election of delegates to the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, with the goal of securing four delegates, which he said is in the interest of the Serb people. "We believe we will achieve that", Dodik said after a meeting with HDZ BiH representatives. He also expressed confidence that HDZ BiH will achieve a winning result in areas where it is in the majority. He added that today's talks also covered inter-party cooperation and stressed that they remain partners. "We have shown that this is not against Bosniaks, but it is against some of their policies", Dodik said. He noted that there are differences with HDZ BiH regarding NATO, and that when it comes to the European path they are not opposed in principle, but Republika Srpska is against certain policies and believes that centralization should be stopped. Dodik also said they discussed support for the Catholic Church and joint projects, assessing the meeting as very successful.
