DODIK: I LOOK FORWARD TO FUTURE COOPERATION WITH JANŠA
BANJA LUKA, MAY 22 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik congratulated Janez Janša on being elected Prime Minister of Slovenia for the fourth time and expressed hope for a period of better cooperation between Republika Srpska and Slovenia.
“Republika Srpska and Slovenia have a great deal of room to improve and advance relations, which in recent years have not been at the level our peoples deserve,” Dodik stated. At the same time, Dodik emphasized, this is also an important moment for Serbs in Slovenia and for /Slovenia’s Parliament Speaker/ Zoran Stevanović, who demonstrated that the Serb people can find their authentic political voice and be a respected and important factor in Slovenia’s political life. “I believe that ahead of us is a period of better cooperation, greater mutual understanding, and stronger political and economic ties. Janez Janša is a politician with pragmatic visions regarding the Western Balkans, and I am certain that many relations in the region today would be simpler and more stable if his voice had been listened to and respected more in previous years,” Dodik posted on X. Dodik stressed that he looks forward to future cooperation with Janša and expressed confidence that Slovenia, under his leadership, can be an important partner for stability, dialogue, and mutual respect in the region. The leader of the Slovenian Democratic Party, Janez Janša, was today elected prime minister-designate for the formation of Slovenia’s new government.
