VIDOVIĆ: REFERENCE INTEREST RATE INCREASE WILL NOT AFFECT EXISTING BORROWING

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 11 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Finance Minister Zora Vidović stated that the reference interest rate increase by the European Central Bank will not significantly affect Republika Srpska's existing borrowing.

"It will not have a major impact on borrowing because 87 percent of our loans carry fixed interest rates," Vidović explained at a press conference following the Government session. She added that only a small portion of the loans have variable interest rates, which are mainly loans from the World Bank.
