POLYANSKIY'S VISIT TO BANJA LUKA STRONG CONFIRMATION OF SRPSKA - RUSSIA FRIENDLY TIES

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 13 /SRNA/ –President Milorad Dodik said it was a great honour to host Dmitry Polyanskiy, the Russian Federation's Permanent Representative to the OSCE, in Banja Luka, adding that the visit represents another confirmation of the strong friendly ties and mutual respect between Republika Srpska and Russia.

Dodik said they discussed issues of importance to Republika Srpska, the region, and international relations. “During our talks, we exchanged views on current political issues, the position of Republika Srpska, and the challenges it faces,” Dodik posted on X. He added that Polyanskiy's visit is yet another confirmation of the strong friendly relations and mutual respect that Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation have traditionally nurtured. Dodik emphasized that Republika Srpska highly values the principled position of the Russian Federation in international institutions, as well as the fact that Russia has always been a voice in the UN Security Council advocating respect for international law, the Dayton Peace Agreement, and the Serb people’s rights. “We will always appreciate friends who stood by Republika Srpska when it mattered most. I am confident that this visit will contribute to the further strengthening of our relations to the mutual satisfaction of both sides,” Dodik stated.
