DODIK: IZETBEGOVIĆ OFFERED EXCUSES BUT NO CLARIFICATION OF HIS STATEMENT DURING PHONE CALL

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 24 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said that Bakir Izetbegović failed at any point during a telephone conversation to explain the remarks he made the previous evening.

"During the 'nervous' phone call, I was laughing, while Bakir awkwardly tried to defend and justify himself, without saying either 'yes' or 'no', resorting instead to vague generalities", Dodik wrote on the social media platform X. Dodik stressed that instead of taking responsibility for his words, Izetbegović attempted to relativize the issue and avoid addressing the substance of what he described as threats. "At no point did he manage to explain what he said last night when he called for me to be resolved by some kind of force. Because of that, my position not only remains unchanged, but after this conversation I am even more convinced that what was said during the television program was very clear and unequivocal. I am glad to be a nuisance to their politics", Dodik said.
