CVIJANOVIĆ: DESECRATION OF SYMBOLS OF SRPSKA IS A DANGEROUS PROVOCATION

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 26 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović said that the desecration of Republika Srpska symbols, accompanied by chants of "Allahu Akbar," represents the BiH that is being offered to Serbs.

"This is a dangerous provocation and an act of sick hatred toward the Serb people," Cvijanović stated. She strongly condemned this abhorrent act, which she said is the result of the daily demonization of Republika Srpska in political Sarajevo. "Such lunatics are encouraged by the fact that Sarajevo politicians are threatening and calling for the removal of Republika Srpska politicians by force," Cvijanović wrote on social media. A video has appeared on social networks showing a group of hooligans removing the flag of Republika Srpska from a flagpole and then setting it on fire, while chanting "Allahu Akbar" and uttering insults. Media outlets in the Federation report that the flag was located on a flagpole placed along the inter-entity boundary line between Republika Srpska and the FBiH.
