KALABUKHOV: EVERYONE MUST BE AWARE OF SERBS’ SUFFERING IN CENTRAL PODRINJE AND BIRAČ

BRATUNAC, JULY 4 /SRNA/ – Russian Ambassador to BiH Igor Kalabukhovhas said today in Bratunac that everyone must be aware of the tragic suffering of Serbs in Central Podrinje and Birač.

Kalabukhov says he sees a desire for closer cooperation between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation, although certain achievements have already been made in that regard. "I hope we will continue our cooperation at all levels, especially in rejecting the falsification of history and affirming our facts. I hope we will witness new achievements in our cooperation," Kalabukhov told the press after the memorial gathering in Bratunac. More than three decades since the suffering of 3,267 Serbs from Central Podrinje and Birač regions were commemorated today in Bratunac. In addition to the top officials of Republika Srpska and representatives of the governments of Serbia and Montenegro, the commemoration was also attended by Pastor Mark Burns, a spiritual adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump.
