MINIĆ: ADDITIONAL LANE ACROSS ROMANIJA TO IMPROVE ROAD SAFETY
SOKOLAC, JULY 7 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said that the construction of an additional lane for slow-moving vehicles on the Podromanija–Sumbulovac section of the main road, the start of which was officially marked today, would improve both safety and efficiency, as it is the highest mountain pass on a main road in Republika Srpska.
It is a privilege to serve as prime minister and have the opportunity to launch new projects and construction works. You heard from Republika Srpska Minister of Transport and Communications /Zoran Stevanović/ about everything that is being done. He mentioned only a portion of the projects related to the eastern part. Tomorrow, of course, we will already be in the areas of Srbac, Laktaši and Gradiška," Minić told reporters. He stressed that Republika Srpska was currently in its largest investment cycle to date and that a new project was being launched almost every day. "I do not doubt that better and brighter days lie ahead for Republika Srpska. Every road we build and every project we complete or launch makes us stronger, better, happier and more successful," Minić said. The additional lane for slow-moving vehicles on the Podromanija–Sumbulovac section of the main road is the first phase of the project and covers the uphill stretch from the direction of Podromanija, extending 1,871 metres.
