REPUBLIKA SRPSKA - MOST IMPORTANT VITAL NATIONAL INTEREST OF SERB PEOPLE

BANJA LUKA, JULY 8 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska is the most important vital national interest given the crimes committed against the Serb people throughout history, Minister of Labor, War Veterans' and Disabled Persons' Protection Radan Ostojić said.

"If we do not have the awareness that we must preserve Srpska at all costs, then we certainly cannot survive," Ostojić told reporters in Banja Luka, commenting on the adoption of the Declaration on the Protection of the Vital National Interests of the Serb People in BiH. He assessed that the preservation of Republika Srpska largely depends on defining vital national interests, and that it is important for such matters to be adopted unanimously in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. "If something is adopted unanimously in the National Assembly, then it extends to the entire people, and there is unity, which is necessary to preserve Republika Srpska," Ostojić said. He added that the protection of vital national interests is also reflected through the adoption of many laws, as well as through support for the veto of the Serb member of the BiH Presidency.
