MUSTAFIĆ: I WILL NOT BE IN SREBRENICA TOMORROW
BANJA LUKA, JULY 10 /SRNA/ - Participant in the wartime events in Srebrenica Ibran Mustafić said that he would not attend tomorrow's commemoration for Bosniak victims in Potočari near Srebrenica because he does "not want to be in the same place with the Bosniak establishment and the gang that benefits very well from these and similar events".
"I left Potočari and came to Sarajevo yesterday. So, I will not be in Srebrenica, where, unfortunately, a `celebration` is taking place, and tomorrow is the final act of it all. In that act, the poor, honest and ordinary people will walk around, while they will be taking pictures. What kind of person would I be to stand with that gang!?" Mustafić told SRNA. Mustafić said that on July 13, once all the ceremonies are over, he will visit both Srebrenica and Bratunac and have coffee with good people. He pointed out that the Bosniak "establishment" has "managed to profit greatly" from the wartime events in Srebrenica. "They are still profiting from it today," Mustafić claimed. Mustafić stressed that every true human being should be moved by anyone's tears and that the truth is the only catharsis for all. "The truth is the only remedy for our future generations. These are not any kind of selective truths and histories, because they only lead to new tensions and conflicts," Mustafić said. Ibran Mustafić is a well-known Bosniak politician and a good expert on wartime and post-war events in the Srebrenica area. Among other things, he was one of the founders of the SDA in Srebrenica and a member of the pre-war Assembly of BiH. He publicly criticised and accused local Bosniak military structures of crimes against both Bosniaks and Serbs, as well as of betraying Srebrenica. Because of his views, he was often subjected to physical and verbal attacks by prominent representatives of his own people.
