COMMEMORATIVE GATHERING IN POTOČARI PASSED PEACEFULLY

ZVORNIK, JULY 11 /SRNA/ - The commemorative gathering in Potočari near Srebrenica passed peacefully and with dignity, the Zvornik Police Administration said in a statement.

"Thanks to the maximum engagement of members of the Ministry of the Interior of Republika Srpska, who acted in accordance with the security plan in cooperation with other security structures, the planned measures were successfully implemented," the statement said. In this way, it was stated, conditions were created for the safe holding of the public gathering, the protection of all participants, and the safe and controlled flow of traffic and the commemorative programme. "The participants of the gathering, as well as other citizens and road users, also made a significant contribution to the safe organization of the commemorative event by showing patience, responsible behavior, and respect for the instructions of police officers, thereby enabling the planned activities to proceed without disruption," the Zvornik Police Administration said. A commemorative gathering was held today in Potočari near Srebrenica to mark the 31st anniversary of the suffering of Bosniaks.
