MINIĆ: BEĆIROVIĆ NOT WORTH THE ATTENTION, FOCUS SHOULD BE ON REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, JULY 17 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said there was no need to pay attention to the Chairperson of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, but rather to focus on developing Republika Srpska.

BANJA LUKA, JULY 17 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said there was no need to pay attention to the Chairperson of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, but rather to focus on developing Republika Srpska.

"Every day they come up with something pointless. They only want to show that they do not respect us. What they fail to realize is that by doing so they are undermining what they call the joint state," Minić told reporters in Foča. He questioned the actions of Bećirović, who unilaterally forwarded to the Commission to Preserve National Monuments of BiH a decision appointing new members that had been adopted by outvoting, thereby disregarding the decision of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska supporting the veto invoked by the Serb member of the Presidency, Željka Cvijanović. Minić pointed out that both the ruling coalition and the opposition had supported Cvijanović's veto on the matter. "What is there to say about Bećirović? We should not be talking about them at all. We should come here, promote our own achievements, say that we will continue building Foča and love Republika Srpska," Minić said. He stressed that Republika Srpska has a strong safeguard in the Presidency in the person of Željka Cvijanović, who, he said, is doing her job exceptionally well. "We have our National Assembly. We should not pay attention to them. We should be developing Republika Srpska," Minić added. Although the National Assembly of Republika Srpska upheld the Serb member's veto on the decision appointing members of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments, thereby rendering the decision void, the chief of staff to Denis Bećirović has insisted that the Presidency's secretary-general forward the decision to the Official Gazette of BiH "without delay".
