CVIJANOVIĆ: KONAKOVIĆ IN AMERICA - THE WRONG MAN IN THE WRONG PLACE

ŠEKOVIĆI, JULY 18 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović assessed that the visit of Foreign Minister in the Council of Ministers Elmedin Konaković to Washington could be summed up in one sentence - the wrong man, in the wrong place, at the wrong time, before the wrong audience.

She noted that, on the other hand, Republika Srpska was pleased that Serbia launched a strategic dialogue with the United States yesterday. "Serbia's Foreign Minister Marko Đurić had the opportunity to speak with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his deputy Christopher Landau, sign memorandums and begin the dialogue," Cvijanović told reporters in Šekovići. Cvijanović said that people in Republika Srpska were proud because this meant that Serbia was strong and had interlocutors wherever it went. "It does not have to go there and speak badly about someone at home and invent stories and fairy tales, but rather show its statesmanship. When you compare all of that with this person who is described as the wrong man in the wrong place at the wrong time before the wrong audience - the comparison is obvious," Cvijanović stressed. At a ministerial meeting in Washington dedicated to the rise of political terrorism, Konaković called for what he described as a stronger response to politically motivated terrorism, mentioning Milorad Dodik as well.
