NATO INTELLIGENCE SERVICES USE INFLUENCERS TO SUSTAIN BOSNIAK MYTH ON SREBRENICA

BELGRADE, JULY 26 /SRNA/ – Security expert Anatolij Milovanović told SRNA that NATO intelligence services use public figures and social media influencers to influence young people in order to sustain Bosniak myth about the events in Srebrenica.

BELGRADE, JULY 26 /SRNA/ – Security expert Anatolij Milovanović told SRNA that NATO intelligence services use public figures and social media influencers to influence young people in order to sustain Bosniak myth about the events in Srebrenica.

He claimed that these intelligence services also conducted a large-scale special operation in Srebrenica during the 1995 war in BiH, which continues today to sustain Bosniak myth. With that aim, he says, numerous high-ranking politicians, intellectuals, journalists, criminals, and social media stars are engaged in this effort, with the primary target being younger generations who have little prior interest in the issue. "Because of their popularity among younger generations, influencers represent an ideal opportunity to continue spreading political manipulation as part of the ongoing psychological and propaganda campaign related to the events in Srebrenica," Milovanović said. He argued that younger audiences receive messages portraying Serbs as "evil," while such media appearances do not mention Serb civilian victims, prisoners of war, or villages that were burned. He claimed that this category of individuals cooperating with intelligence services is presented as "fighters for justice, peace, and the progress of BiH," with the task of criminalizing Serbs under international law. Milovanović said that, from today's perspective, it is clear what happened in Srebrenica in 1995, adding that numerous legal experts and respected professors have explained the distinction between genocide and war crimes. "Revision as a legal institution in international law is possible, given the geopolitical changes already underway, we have hope that the truth and justice regarding the wartime events of the civil war, particularly in the Central Podrinje region, are attainable," Milovanović concluded.
