TREBINJE, JULY 28 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska Željko Budimir and the Director of the Srpska Police Siniša Kostrešević visited police officers participating in a voluntary blood donation campaign today at the Blood Transfusion Medicine Service in Trebinje, for which 62 police officers registered.

Budimir emphasized that voluntary blood donation campaigns are a humanitarian action carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs /MUP/ according to the needs of the transfusion services. "I think we are the most numerous donors who regularly give blood, with 476 registered MUP members who are permanently employed, and there will also be about a hundred cadets. This is one of the activities we are carrying out today. The Transfusion Institute in Banja Luka and the regional centers are grateful to us for this," Budimir told reporters, emphasizing that police officers will continue with this humanitarian mission. The Deputy Commander of the Trebinje Traffic Safety Station Rade Vujović said that he is voluntarily donating blood for the 25th time and that this means a lot to him. "Ever since I was little, I saw this from my father, who gave blood his whole life. I followed in his footsteps; in 2011, I gave blood for the first time. I hope that in the future I will also be able to help," stated Vujović.
