POLE SUSPECTED OF DESECRATING STATUE OF VIRGIN MARY AND SETTING ALTAR ON FIRE
SARAJEVO, JULY 28 /SRNA/ - A 31-year-old Polish man has been arrested on suspicion of a vandalism incident in Međugorje.
Police suspect that he desecrated the main statue of Our Lady on Podbrdo in Međugorje, as well as another smaller statue, and set fire to the outdoor altar of St. James Church. He is also suspected of writing offensive messages against Our Lady in Polish and English, federal media reported.
