SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES, VETERANS, SPORTS AND YOUTH SHOWS SRPSKA IS MAKING PROGRESS
BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 16 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik pointed out that the past week had shown that Republika Srpska moves forward when it takes care of families, war veterans, sports and young people.
"We have provided support to parents by co-financing extended-day programs for children where school capacities are insufficient, because it is the responsibility of Republika Srpska to support families and help people in their everyday lives," Dodik added. He said that the policy of showing respect to those who created Republika Srpska had also continued, noting that benefits for recipients of veterans' and disability protection rights had been increased and that payments were being made according to the new calculation bases. "SNSD introduced a veterans' allowance and paved the way for strengthening the financial rights of war veterans, while our obligation remains to ensure that Republika Srpska’s economic growth is inseparably linked to the growth of veterans' rights," Dodik wrote on the social media platform X. In his review of the past week, he said that, to everyone’s pride, FK Borac had shown character, strength and a winning spirit and secured passage to the next round. "Such victories bring joy to the whole of Republika Srpska, because sport always carries the energy of togetherness, self-confidence and the belief that we can achieve more," Dodik added. He reminded that a handball tournament had been held in Doboj, once again confirming how important sport is for the reputation of Republika Srpska, for bringing young people together and for promoting the right values - hard work, discipline, competition and respect. "When we invest in families, respect our war veterans and celebrate the successes of our athletes, then we know that Republika Srpska is on the right path," Dodik stressed.
