RATCLIFFE PROPOSED TRUMP-PUTIN-ZELENSKY MEETING

WASHINGTON, AUGUST 30 /SRNA/ — CIA Director John Ratcliffe proposed a trilateral meeting between the leaders of Russia, the United States and Ukraine during his visit to Moscow this week, "Axios" reported.

According to the report, Ratcliffe sought to determine whether talks with Ukraine could resume with US mediation. US officials briefed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the discussions on Friday. Washington had previously proposed such a trilateral meeting, TASS reported. "Axios" noted that this was Ratcliffe’s first direct involvement in diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine. The CIA director visited Moscow on Aug. 25. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Ratcliffe’s trip was related to contacts between the intelligence services of the two countries.
