MINIĆ: SUCCESSFUL COOPERATION WITH THE WORLD BANK

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić expressed his satisfaction with the successful cooperation between Srpska and the World Bank, and pointed out that during this year alone, credit agreements for four new projects, worth USD 500 million, became effective.

At the meeting with the newly-appointed Head of the Office of the World Bank Group for BiH and Montenegro Liang Wang, which was also attended by the Minister of Treasury and Finance in the Council of Ministers Srđan Amidžić and the Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska Zora Vidović, it was pointed to the fact that 13 more joint projects worth 230 million euros are already in the implementation phase in Srpska. Minić expects that in the coming period, the World Bank will be involved in the financing of new projects nominated by Republika Srpska, primarily those related to the improvement of road infrastructure, renewable energy sources and water infrastructure. Liang said that they were ready to support new projects that would encourage economic growth, employment and energy transition.
