TRUMP: WITKOFF AND KUSHNER WILL PRESENT PROPOSAL TO END CONFLICT

WASHINGTON, September 4 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - US President Donald Trump said that special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will present Russian negotiators with a proposal for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

"It has to be resolved, so I sent Witkoff and Kushner. We sent them to see if we can accomplish something, and there is a good chance that we will succeed," Trump said in remarks from the Oval Office. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier today that Russia remains ready to move toward a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine and thanked the United States for its willingness to mediate.
