ISTOČNO SARAJEVO - ONE OF KEY PILLARS OF SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 16 /SRNA/ - In a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Day and Patron Saint’s Day of the City of Istočno Sarajevo - Saint Peter of Dabar-Bosnia - President Milorad Dodik stressed that, thanks to the responsible work of the city leadership and the dedication of all its residents, Istočno Sarajevo is growing day by day into a modern centre whose progress provides prospects for future generations.

"In all efforts to further advance the development of the city, the institutions of Republika Srpska remain your firm and reliable partner and will continue to support capital projects in order to ensure an even better standard of living for citizens and further strengthen the position of Istočno Sarajevo as one of the key pillars of Republika Srpska," Dodik said. He extended his warmest congratulations to Mayor Ljubiša Ćosić, Speaker of the City Assembly Boško Jugović, councillors, the respected clergy, the faithful and all citizens of Istočno Sarajevo. "Saint Peter of Dabar-Bosnia, as the protector and spiritual support of the city, reminds us of the strength of faith, sacrifice and unity on which the foundations of Istočno Sarajevo were built," Dodik said in his congratulatory message. He wished that the celebration of this great feast would take place in the spirit of Christian love, unity and pride, and bring peace, health and prosperity to the citizens of Istočno Sarajevo. The Serbian Orthodox Church will celebrate tomorrow the feast of Saint Hieromartyr Peter of Dabar-Bosnia, while the City of Istočno Sarajevo celebrates this saint as its Patron Saint.
