DODIK: PLATFORM AT BiH LEVEL - RESPECT FOR DAYTON PEACE AGREEMENT AND BiH CONSTITUTION
BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 2 /SRNA/ – The platform of the SNSD's political activities at the BiH level will be based on full respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Dayton-based Constitution of BiH, exactly as they are written, not as someone interprets them, SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik stated.
Dodik emphasized that the SNSD will keep cooperating with the HDZ, but that cooperation with any political structure involving the Party for BiH, wich is, as he emphasized, extremely hostile towards Republika Srpska, is completely unacceptable. "Certain policies will have to change; we have established our starting positions, which are clear. They concern the need to establish a majority that will correspond to the entity-level majority," Dodik said at a press conference following a session of the SNSD Presidency. He stressed that the SNSD would like to work on finding solutions to outstanding challenges and problems, which could be addressed by a stable parliamentary majority. Dodik stated that the SNSD would seek to have all decisions imposed by the High Representatives declared null and void through parliamentary procedures, and to overturn the practice that has resulted in any actions being taken on the basis of those decisions. "Those decisions are unlawful and undermine the BiH Constitution, which stipulates that only the Parliamentary Assembly has the authority to pass laws. The High Representatives' decisions have been endorsed by Parliament will have to be reconsidered," Dodik pointed out, noting that those decisions had been adopted under extreme circumstances involving imposition and coercion. He reiterated that stable government and stable economic activity would be ensured in Republika Srpska.
