KOVAČEVIĆ: TRIVIĆ’S ATTEMPT TO SPOIL RELATIONS BETWEEN SRPSKA AND SERBIA WILL FAIL

BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 14 /SRNA/ - If Jelana Trivić knew anything, as she obviously knows nothing, she would know that no joint body at the BiH level - neither the Presidency, nor the Council of Ministers, nor the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, has made any decision on sanctions against the Russian Federation, said Radovan Kovačević, a member of the Serb Caucus in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.
"I can freely say this as a member of the Serb Caucus in the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, and Jelena Trivić obviously cannot talk about such things because she is the president of a non-parliamentary political party both at the level of Republika Srpska and at the level of BiH,” Kovačević told SRNA. Kovačević reiterated that no institution, no joint body at the BiH level has made any official decision on behalf of BiH on joining any sanctions against the Russian Federation, and there is absolute unity on this issue between Republika Srpska and the Republic of Serbia, and this will certainly won't change in the coming period. "The fact that Jelena Trivić, as someone who works for the interests of certain foreign countries that have bad intentions towards both Republika Srpska and the Republic of Serbia, is trying to spoil relations between Srpska and Serbia and thus make them weaker is something that is also very easy to recognize and which is not doing her credit in any way," said Kovačević, who is the SNSD spokesperson. Another thing, he added, when it comes to amending the Law on the Constitutional Court of BiH and changing the composition of the Constitutional Court and making it possible for local judges to be in that institution instead of foreigners, it is a complete lie and fabrication that Milorad Dodik or Republika Srpska gave up, because that question “is the priority of all priorities for us from Republika Srpska or for us from the SNSD and something we are seriously working on." Responding to Trivić's statement that, as she said, Dodik stabbed official Belgrade in the back by introducing sanctions against Russia, Kovačević said that if Jelena Trivić is interested, she can find a decision in the Ministry of Justice that is already ready and will be very quickly put on the agenda of joint institutions of BiH. "Also, we supported every proposal that came from the opposition parties, which, unlike Jelena Trivić's party, are parliamentary, and we will always support every proposal from Republika Srpska that is good for Republika Srpska, no matter who the sponsor is, unlike Jelena Trivić, who does not have the capacity to support anything, but has the capacity exclusively to deal with speculations and try to damage excellent relations between Srpska and Serbia. She will certainly not succeed in that," said Kovačević.
