KOŠARAC: PROTECTING SRPSKA AND SERB PEOPLE’S INTERESTS SACRED, MOTIVATION AND GUIDING PRINCIPLE

SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 4 /SRNA/ – The decision by the SNSD, under the leadership of President Milorad Dodik, to participate in the early and forced elections in November is an act of nationally responsible politics toward Srpska, its institutions and citizens, stated Staša Košarac, Council of Ministers Deputy Chairman.
"Milorad Dodik is the President of Republika Srpska, elected by the will of Srpska’s citizens in democratic elections. He is a leader and a statesman who has a say and will continue to have influence in Srpska and BiH - that’s the reality, painful for Sarajevo and some individuals in Srpska," Košarac emphasized. Košarac explained that participation in the November elections comes out of necessity, as opposition parties did not recognize the sincere call for the unity of Serbs, a unified stance and a boycott of the elections. "A boycott only makes sense if all political entities respect it. That is the only way to fully expose the insidious game of official Sarajevo, the illegitimate Schmidt, and unconstitutional institutions working against Srpska and its institutions," he said. Košarac claims the opposition, "secured by officiial Sarajevo and the occupier Schmidt", finds these elections as an opportunity to come to power without the will of the Serb people. In practice, he says, this would mean a minority, lacking support from the Serb people, taking over power and deciding the fate of Srpska. "That is the scenario prepared for us by all those who fight against Srpska, its institutions, its status, and constitutional capacity. Those who aim to un-constitute the Serb people, crush their free will, and reduce them to a statistical error in their vision of a unitary, Islamic BiH. They have mobilized the entire apparatus to achieve this — undemocratic methods, legal violence, unconstitutional and illegal acts, even media that have capitulated under their occupying boot," Košarac posted on Instagram. He says SNSD would not fall into that trap and that protecting Republika Srpska and the interests of the Serb people is sacred, a motivation and a guiding principle. "We made a difficult, forced, but only correct decision. We are going to participate in the elections because our politics represent the will of the Serb people. Be assured - we will receive plebiscitary support from Srpska’s citizens! Our struggle is not personal, petty, or narrow party-based - it is a fight to preserve and strengthen Srpska for the equality and dignity of the Serb people," Košarac concluded.
