STEVANDIĆ: POWER OF RESURRECTION DEEPLY WOVEN INTO SOUL OF SERBIAN PEOPLE
BANJA LUKA, APRIL 11 /SRNA/ - The Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, Nenad Stevandić, extended Easter greetings to His Holiness, Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, to all hierarchs of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the clergy, monks, and the entire Serbian Orthodox people, as well as to all Orthodox believers in Republika Srpska.
"I wish that you celebrate the Resurrection of Christ in health, peace, and joy, and that, strengthened by the reality of this holiday, we bear witness to the resurrection power deeply woven into the soul of our people," Stevandić stated in his greeting. The Speaker of the National Assembly stated that in the turbulent times in which we live and act, the strength of the holiday should be present more than ever. Stevandić emphasized that in unity and togetherness, gathered around our religious and national holy places, we should find firm support and a healthy foundation for overall progress. "With the wish that you celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord in the warmth of your homes and holy churches, I greet you with the joyful greeting in which the full truth of our faith is contained: Christ is Risen – Indeed He is Risen!" the greeting adds. The Serbian Orthodox Church celebrates tomorrow the greatest Christian holiday - Easter, which commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and represents the essence of the Christian faith.
