DEĐANSKI: DODIK IS IMPROVING SERB RELATIONS WITH THE UNITED STATES
BELGRADE, MAY 2 /SRNA/ - Political analyst Stevica Deđanski assessed that the award from the foundation of the American Judson University represents satisfaction for SNSD leader Milorad Dodik for everything he has gone through, but also proof that relations between Serbs and America are thawing.
Deđanski believes that this award, along with a series of other developments, shows that new winds are blowing globally compared to the period of Democratic Party rule in the United States, because there is now an understanding that Serbia, Republika Srpska, and Serbs are not the problem. "Fortunately, it is not only America, because we also have good relations with Russia, Israel, and other countries. The majority of the normal world understands that all this chaos that emerged was the product of the actions of the Democrats, who showed that they were anti-Serb oriented," Deđanski told Srna. He believes that both Dodik and the Serbian people should be proud that there is a Serbian leader who received recognition in America for leadership and dedication to national sovereignty and democratic principles. "That is very important, because we have a leader who is improving the relations of Serbs on both sides of the Drina River with America, and this should be proclaimed far and wide," Deđanski stated. He assessed that the recognition for Dodik in America is a step toward thawing relations with the Serbian people. "We can also see that Serbia's leadership is likewise thawing relations with America, which have never been better. Dodik has gone a step further, and that has now been acknowledged," Deđanski believes. Because of this, as well as other positive trends, Deđanski expects that Serbs will emerge from the confusion into which they were placed, according to which they were allegedly the only "bad guys," while all others who killed, mistreated, and persecuted them were considered good. "We are moving toward getting out of that. It is not easy, but with good diplomatic activity, it can obviously be achieved," Deđanski said.
