GOGANOVIĆ: WHILE HELEZ SPREADS HATRED, VUČIĆ AND DODIK ARE PROTECTED BY THE LOVE OF THE SERBIAN PEOPLE

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, AUGUST 5 /SRNA/ - The latest hateful statements by Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers Zukan Helez are just another attempt to provoke political tensions and damage relations with the Republic of Serbia, Deputy Defense Minister Aleksandar Goganović told SRNA.

"Instead of attacking Serbia and President Aleksandar Vučić and Republika Srpska every day, Helez should explain why he is promoting warmongering rhetoric when our international partners are asking us to build good neighbourly relations," Goganović said. Goganović stressed that his rhetoric of hatred does not contribute to peace or to the interests of any constituent people in BiH. Goganović said that Aleksandar Vučić and President Milorad Dodik are leaders of one, indivisible Serbian people on both sides of the Drina River. "President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić is not protected by any 'thugs', but by the love and support of the Serbian people. Wherever he comes among his people, he is welcomed with respect because he pursues a policy of developing Serbia and preserving peace and stability in the region," Goganović said. Goganović said that Helez invites President Vučić to take a walk through Belgrade, but did not dare to walk with Vučić even through his own Bugojno, where local SDA power-brokers are illegally seizing the property of the Serbian Orthodox Church. "Republika Srpska remains committed to peace, respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement and strengthening the special and parallel ties with the Republic of Serbia, which are guaranteed by Dayton. No one will sever those ties," Goganović stressed.
