OPENING OF RAČA BORDER CROSSING IN MID-OCTOBER
BIJELJINA, OCTOBER 2 /SRNA/ – Serb BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović said that the Rača border crossing is expected to become operational in mid-October.
Cvijanović stated that a priority project is the construction of a motorway that would connect Banja Luka and Doboj, via Brčko and Bijeljina, to Belgrade. "Every border crossing that connects us with Serbia represents a strategic commitment," Cvijanović explained. She told Bijeljina-based news portals that the opening of the Rača border crossing represents a key solution for Semberija residents, but is also significant for Republika Srpska in general. Cvijanović recalled that there had been considerable complications at the BiH level regarding the opening of border crossings, referred to the Bratoljub border crossing.
