NETANYAHU: SEARCHING FOR PLANE ATTACK ORGANISERS

TEL AVIV, OCTOBER 2 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ – Israel is searching for the potential organisers of the knife attack on the pilot of a Flydubai the UAE – Israel flight, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

"As time passes, the image becomes clearer. The attacker underwent Islamist radicalisation. He intended to bring down the aircraft with all the passengers on board. We are now investigating whether he was sent; whoever sent him will pay a very heavy price," Netanyahu said in a video address. Earlier in the day, UAE Presidential Adviser Anwar Gargash described the incident aboard the Flydubai flight as a dangerous act of terrorism. Passengers subdued the co-pilot, who attacked the pilot, while off-duty pilots took control of the aircraft and landed it in Saudi Arabia. Media reports said that Israeli security services would question the co-pilot, who, after being arrested in Saudi Arabia, was transported to the UAE yesterday.
