ĐOKIĆ: SRPSKA COMMITTED TO DEVELOPING PARTNERSHIP COOPERATION WITH RUSSIA
MOSCOW, OCTOBER 16 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister of Energy and Mining Petar Đokić says Srpska is committed to developing partnership cooperation with the Russian Federation, highlighting Russia’s importance in the global energy sector due to its vast energy resources, which means that developments in the country also affect the rest of the world.
Đokić, who is participating in the international Russian Energy Week forum in Moscow, told SRNA that by organising the forum, Russia had demonstrated its readiness to cooperate and provided a platform for discussing concrete solutions to global energy challenges. "Through this energy conference, Russia has once again extended a hand and demonstrated its readiness for partnership, offering concrete solutions to help overcome global energy problems and ensure the normal functioning of energy activities, namely the safe, continuous and reliable supply of all energy sources around the world," Đokić stressed. He noted that the topics discussed at Russian Energy Week also focus on improving energy activities, protecting the environment and improving climate conditions, as well as finding solutions to the negative effects of climate change. "What is particularly important is that Russia insists on partnership on an equal footing, with full respect for the other side, its interests and specific circumstances, while striving to achieve the best global solutions that will meet the needs of each individual country," Đokić said. He assessed that gatherings of this kind provide an opportunity to exchange views and seek solutions that can contribute to a more stable energy sector and a more secure supply of energy resources. Đokić stressed that Republika Srpska remained firmly committed to developing partnership relations with the Russian Federation and maintaining the cooperation established in previous years. "It is a great honour and pleasure for me to have been invited to participate once again this year in Russian Energy Week, a prestigious international energy event. The topics discussed at this conference are highly important for shaping national policies and making decisions at the global level," Đokić said. Speaking about the importance of the conference, Đokić pointed to global disruptions in the energy sector, noting that developments around the world were turbulent and had consequences for numerous countries and their economies. "It is necessary to seek solutions based on the principles of mutual respect, trust and partnership, which must be built in order to overcome the energy problems and difficulties that have accumulated," Đokić concluded.
