CVIJANOVIĆ: I BELIEVED IN VICTORY, WE WILL QUICKLY FORM THE GOVERNMENT

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 16 /SRNA/ – SNSD Deputy Leader Željka Cvijanović says that a government will be formed quickly in Republika Srpska as soon as the official election results are announced, within the current calendar year and possibly much sooner.

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 16 /SRNA/ – SNSD Deputy Leader Željka Cvijanović says that a government will be formed quickly in Republika Srpska as soon as the official election results are announced, within the current calendar year and possibly much sooner.

"We will also adopt all strategic documents for next year this year, including the budget, the economic reform programme and others," Cvijanović announced, who was re-elected as the Serb BiH Presidency member in the recent general election. She says that people recognises and appreciates the work of the SNSD, as proven in the recent elections. "I believed in my own victory and the SNSD’s victory because we have a good relationship with citizens and a team work headed by our leader, Milorad Dodik," Cvijanović told the Provjereno news portal. Cvijanović stressed that she had not promised that everything would be easy after the elections, but that she would work in the interests of citizens, emphasising that everyone must roll up their sleeves and get to work. "If citizens have placed their trust in me, I will not give up. That was my message not only during the campaign but also throughout my previous work. I am satisfied with the 306,000 votes so far. This means that people have chosen our policies," she emphasised. According to her, the greatest challenge for Republika Srpska in the coming period will be maintaining peace, stability and the efficiency of its institutions, which is possible if there is a team. "This means that you must have a stable and functional government that fulfills its obligations to citizens, can rise to any challenge and turn something that until recently seemed impossible into something achievable," said Cvijanović, who is also the Serb BiH Presidency member. She stressed that achieving all this would require people to carry out their responsibilities in the Republika Srpska National Assembly, the joint institutions of BiH, and the BiH Presidency.
