KECMANOVIĆ: SRPSKA INSTITUTIONS DECIDE ON EVERYTHING THAT BELONGS TO SRPSKA
BELGRADE, OCTOBER 28 /SRNA/ - Political scientist Nenad Kecmanović told SRNA that everything that belongs to Republika Srpska is decided in the institutions of Republika Srpska in Banjaluka and nowhere else and that there is no need to discuss, explain or justify anything about it.
"By what right do Sarajevo or Brussels interfere in where the appeals chamber of the Court of BiH will be located in Srpska? Even if they cite some practical arguments in favor of East Sarajevo, they should get used to the fact that everything that belongs to Srpska is decided in the institutions of the Republic in Banjaluka and nowhere else. There is no need to discuss, explain, or justify anything about it. Simply, it is our matter, we decide on it ourselves, period," Kecmanović said in a written statement. He noted that on these seemingly technical issues, inertia should be broken once and for all, which was easily transferred to issues of principle. The EU Delegation to BiH said that they were disappointed by the failure of political leaders in BiH to reach a compromise regarding the seat of the appeals chamber of the Court of BiH and that they "see no reason for political actors to insist that the appeals chamber of the Court of BiH be in Banjaluka instead of East Sarajevo." Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik previously told SRNA that the position of the EU Delegation to BiH regarding the seat of the appeals chamber of the Court of BiH confirms that there can be no discussions and agreements in BiH as long as someone from the outside imposes positions, siding with one side.
