JATRAS: SCHMIDT MOCKS DEMOCRACY AND CONTINUES ATTACKS ON THE LEGITIMATE RIGHTS OF SERBS

WASHINGTON, MARCH 28 /SRNA/ - Christian Schmidt has sunk to a new low in hypocrisy, claiming right to decide which candidates people should be allowed to vote for and calling it "democracy" and "election integrity", making a mockery of those terms and continues his attack on the legitimate rights of the Serbian people and the popular integrity of Republika Srpska, a prominent American analyst and former diplomat James Jatras told SRNA.

"Gauleiter Schmidt has sunk to a new low in hypocrisy," said Jatras, using the term for a regional leader of the Nazi Party /NSDAP/ who served as the head of a Gau or Reichsgau. Jatras noted that Schmidt is someone who isn't even legally installed in his position and yet claiming to be protecting the democratic integrity of voting in BiH by trying to impose - by undemocratic, personal decree - a system of vote-counting that would transfer the integrity elections from paper ballots to electronic tally of the votes. In his words, people in America knows from bitter experience that electronic vote-counting is the most easily manipulated by those in control of the system. "Compounding his ongoing attack on the legitimate rights of the Serbian people and the popular integrity of Republika Srpska, he claims the right to decide which candidates people should be allowed to vote for. Calling this `democracy` and `election integrity` makes a mockery of those terms," said Jatras. On March 26, Schmidt said that he made the decision to impose changes to the BiH Electoral Law with the aim, as he says, of "supporting the announced process of BiH accession to the EU".
