SCHMIDT CAST DARK STAIN ON EUROPEAN PATH OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 28 /SRNA/ - Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović has said today that Christian Schmidt casts a dark stain on BiH's European path with the attempt to show that he is the one who changes laws.

Cvijanović stated that after the opening of accession negotiations, they decided to deliver a blow to the EU to see who was dominant. "Schmidt wants to occupy a high position by force," Cvijanović said at a special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska about the current security and political situation in the world from the aspect of repercussions on Republika Srpska. After the technical changes to the BiH Election Law, which Schmidt said he imposed, Cvijanović asked who the one who passed and changed the law was, as well as who was moving towards the EU. "I think this is unacceptable," said Cvijanović and added that laws were passed in parliament by legally elected representatives of citizens. She believes that the National Assembly will have a constructive discussion today and that the deputies will try to picture what is expected of Republika Srpska.
