PROCEDURE AGAINST DODIK - TRIGGER TO DISABLE SRPSKA TO RESPOND

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 28 /SRNA/ - The President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić said that the proceedings against the President of Republika Serbia Milorad Dodik before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, represent a trigger to disable the way that Srpska could respond.

"We are living in an era when the collective West, with which we currently have some disagreements, is fighting frantically not to end the domination of that era in which we were unlucky after the breakup of Yugoslavia, because the most exiled Serbs are when you put together Croatia, BiH and Kosovo and Metohija," Stevandić stressed at a special session of the Parliament of Srpska. He said that Republika Srpska still has the most multi-ethnic cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and those cities where the Serbs were almost wiped out are in the FBiH, even though the Serbs are responsible for "ethnic cleansing" according to many resolutions. Stevandić reminded that the head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell said that the domination of the West was over. "We live in a new global reality in which small nations can suffer if they do not have well-balanced positions and if they do not show what their red lines are," Stevandić points out. He emphasized that small nations are no less valuable and that Republika Srpska shows and proves it. "Practice has shown that the erosion of one power and the emergence of new centers of power makes small nations vulnerable to three main challenges, the first - the issue of territory and borders, that is, the property, the second - disproportionality in relation to the opponent and the third, as a consequence of this, terrorism", Stevandić explains. He said that it was important for Republika Srpska to recognize which trends represent a major threat to Srpska, reminding that Srpska has already done this with regard to what Christian Schmidt and those who support him have done. "These are the times of large-scale processes that require making huge decisions and imply that we have courage at a certain moment," Stevandić pointed out. In the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, a special session is underway, where the deputies are considering current security and political situation in the world from the aspect of repercussions on Republika Srpska.
