AULIĆ: BOSNIAK LEADERS BURYING THEIR HEADS IN SAND, ARGUING WITH QUOTES, NOT WITH CVIJANOVIĆ
EAST SARAJEVO, MARCH 29 /SRNA/ - Saša Aulić, an adviser to the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, said that instead of seriously dealing with the problem of Islamic radicalism, Bosniak political and religious leaders are persistently burying their heads in the sand, ignoring the threat the whole world is scared of.
Commenting on the reactions to the facts which the Serb member of the Presidency Željka Cvijanović presented yesterday before the Republika Srpska National Assembly, citing serious sources, and which political Sarajevo calls "threats, outpourings of hatred, insults and Islamophobia," Aulić told SRNA that this is nothing new from the Bosniak political and religious leaders and stressed that it is not about any Islamophobia and that such claims are nonsense. "They cannot understand that they are not debating with Željka Cvijanović at all but with quotes from articles by the BBC and ABC News, from reports by military and security research centers and institutes, and official posts on the websites of the US State Department and the Department of Justice," said Aulić. Aulić suggested that they ban the aforementioned sources from publishing such things, although he does not suggest that they bury their heads in the sand, but that we work diligently with all countries to combat security threats. "After all, it was not Željka Cvijanović who said that there is no peace or coexistence between the Islamic faith and non-Islamic social and political institutions, but Alija Izetbegović. If someone from Srpska said something like that, Bosniak religious and national leaders would declare them an Islamophobe. They keep quiet about Izetbegović's thoughts and hypocritically criticize those who dare to mention them at all," emphasized Aulić. If the BBC says that BiH is the cradle of modern jihadism and that it was the European record holder for the number of foreign fighters in Syria and Iraq, Aulić asked why they don't argue about it with the British instead of those who quote it. He reminded that only in the past 10 years, policeman Dragan Đurić in Zvornik, and soldiers Armin Salkić and Nedeljko Radić in Rajlovac were killed by terrorists in BiH. "Let's not go further into the past, nor to other parts of Europe and the world where citizens of BiH and jihadists associated with BiH spread terror and death. If the lost human lives are not enough reason to break the hypocritical vow of silence, then it says much more about those who remain silent, not those who point out the problem," said Aulić.
