DOES RESOLUTION MENTION BEHEADING OF SERBS?

BRATUNAC, APRIL 30 /SRNA/ - The tragedy of the Ljubomir Mlađenović family from Jažestica near Bratunac after the massacre in World War II repeated itself in 1992 when Muslim extremists killed his wife and two sons, Dragan and Anđelko, whose head was severed and taken as a "trophy" to Naser Orić, and eyewitnesses accuse Kemal Mehmedović of this.

Family members of captured and killed Serb soldiers and missing civilians from Bratunac ask whether the resolution on Srebrenica sent to the UN General Assembly mentions and condemns the monstrous crime of Kemal Mehmedović from the Srebrenica village of Pale, who severed the head of the captured Anđelko and drove it as a trophy through the streets of Srebrenica tied to a car. Mehmedović has been recently arrested by the police in Austria, where he has lived for over two decades. He was released after questioning, and the prosecution has initiated an investigation. He severed the head of captured Anđelko in front of his mother Savka, whom he forced to watch, and then killed her as well. Her mortal remains were found in a nearby forest. He took the head to Srebrenica, where it was kicked around like a ball, and then Mehmedović tied it to a car and drove through the streets of Srebrenica as a trophy, inviting citizens to see what a "Chetnik head" looks like. Anđelko was the son of Ljubomir Mlađenović, whose entire family was killed in World War II. Ljubomir remarried and formed a new family, which fell victim to the descendants of the same unpunished enemy during the Defense-Patriotic War, on August 8, 1992. The beheading of Anđelko was not an isolated case. There is also a well-known photograph of Dragina Prodanović with the severed head of her son Živan from the Srebrenica village of Ratkovići, and there were other such examples of crimes. The families of the killed and missing ask whether the perpetrators of these crimes will ever be prosecuted, some of whom were killed during the conflict and buried in Potočari, where they are honored by Western diplomats and statesmen. HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF The double tragedy of Ljubomir Mlađenović in both 1942 and 1992 best attests to the continuity of Serbian suffering, the repetition of history, and the constant efforts of Muslims to eradicate everything Serbian in this area. In the attack by Muslim criminals integrated into fascist Ustasha units on the Serbian village of Ježestica in 1942, almost all the residents - children, women, and elderly - were killed, totaling 161 Serbian victims. In 1942, Ljubomir Mlađenović's father, mother, three-year-old daughter Jela, and his pregnant wife were killed on the doorstep of their home. His pregnant wife was brutally tortured and cut open by Muslims, their first neighbors from Bratunac and Srebrenica. His brother Petar Mlađenović, his wife, and their four daughters were also killed. Ljubomir was captured and taken to a camp, from which he only returned after World War II. The perpetrators of this monstrous crime went unpunished. In the genocide committed by Muslims from Srebrenica and Bratunac as members of Ustasha units between 1941 and 1945, at least 6,469 Serbs were killed in the Podrinje region, including around 400 children, according to documents on the suffering of Serbs in the 20th century. Ljubomir, then a 23-year-old young man, lost his entire family in one day. However, after some time and the end of World War II, Ljubomir remarried and with his wife, Savka, had six children - four sons and two daughters. After exactly 50 years, the crime repeated itself in the same place. The tragedy of the Mlađenović family began again on July 12, 1992, when Ljubomir was seriously wounded while working in the field. He was shot by Muslim extremists from Srebrenica, under the command of Naser Orić, who embarked on a bloody rampage on the major Orthodox holiday of Petrovdan /St. Peter's Day/ in 1992 to finish what their ancestors had started. SEVERED HEAD OF LJUBOMIR'S SON TAKEN AS "TROPHEY" TO NASER ORIĆ The wounded Ljubomir was operated on in Belgrade. While he was in a hospital, Srebrenica Muslims entered his village of Ježestica on August 8, 1992, and killed nine residents, including his wife Savka and son Dragan. They severed the head of his other son Anđelko on the doorstep of their home and carried it as a trophy to Naser Orić in Srebrenica, where they tied it to a car and drove through the streets, displaying it as a "Chetnik head" or a "war trophy." According to witness accounts, the most responsible for this crime is Kemal Mehmedović Kemo, from the nearby village of Pale, who stood out for numerous crimes against Serbian civilians. The executioner was rewarded by Orić, and the enraged crowd, after the bloody feast, kicked Anđelko's head around the Srebrenica playground, where they celebrated the massacre of civilians with songs and joy. The entire Srebrenica celebrated! Due to the injuries sustained on Petrovdan /St. Peter's Day/ in 1992, as well as the immeasurable grief for his loved ones, LJubomir passed away in 1994. Ljubomir, his wife Savka, their son Dragan, and the decapitated body of their son Anđelko were buried in the cemetery in Bratunac. Anđelko's wife Ivanka and daughter Anka are still searching for his head. Ivanka Mlađenović previously told SRNA that she is embittered by the international community and the BiH judiciary because no one has been prosecuted for the monstrous murders of her family members and people from the village of Ježestica who were working in their fields when cruelly attacked by Muslim hordes under Orić's command. "Engraved names of the slain on the monument show that it's true they laid their lives for freedom, that they perished, yet no one has been brought to justice for the crime. We don't expect justice from the BiH judiciary; it's a court that operates at the behest of the Bosniak political leadership. However, we believe that justice will catch up with the criminals, and divine justice is coming," Ivanka emphasized. Her daughter Anka doesn't remember her father; she was only five months old when Muslim soldiers slaughtered him. Anka's cousin, Nenad Mlađenović, whose father Dragan was killed on August 8, 1992, told SRNA that he attends the memorial service and pays tribute to the victims every year. He expressed disappointment with the work of the BiH judiciary and that of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. "My brother and I don't need anything, but we must not forget our father, uncle, grandmother, and others who were innocently killed. We expect justice for the torture and brutal murders of our loved ones. They didn't attack anyone, and no one is held accountable for their deaths," said Nenad Mlađenović, Ljubomir's grandson. SERBIAN PEOPLE IN PODRINJE VICTIMS OF DECADES-LONG GENOCIDE If we were to use the definitions and terminology used by the Hague Tribunal, we would say that the Mlađenović family and the Serbian people in Podrinje are victims of a decades-long criminal enterprise or genocide. During World War II, the German formations were always aided by local Muslims, and in the last war in BiH, they continued doing independently what the Germans did, showing no regard for Serbian victims. The same attitude and policy have prevailed since the outbreak of the First World War, only different means and methods are used today for its implementation. However, the goal of that policy remains the same - accusing Serbs and the disappearance of the Serbian people from the left side of the Drina River at any cost. Perpetrators of crimes against the Serbian people in central Podrinje are freely walking these areas, defying any notion of accountability or justice. For the atrocities in Ježestica, as well as for numerous other mass crimes against Serbian civilians in central Podrinje, no one has yet been held accountable. This Serbian village, in the local community of Kravica, has never recovered from the demographic loss suffered during World War II, and it experienced further tragedy on August 8, 1992, as well as throughout the entire Defense-Patriotic War, during which a total of 39 residents perished. No one has been held accountable for the mass killings of Serbian civilians in Ježestica and other Serbian villages in the Srebrenica and Bratunac areas during the wars of the 20th century, nor are these tragedies mentioned in the resolution on Srebrenica, sponsored by Germany.
