SAME ENEMY BUTCHERED DRAGO MITROVIĆ IN TWO WARS

SREBRENICA, MAY 1 /SRNA/ - Drago Mitrović from the village of Podravanje near Srebrenica, who survived the Ustasha slaughter in World War II, after which he remained mute and traumatized, was caught again in 1992 when the descendants of those whose knives he escaped in 1941 slaughtered him, Professor Miloš Mitrović told SRNA, emphasizing that his uncle's case is unique.

Mitrović, originally from this village, testifies that his mother Ruža, who was 65 years old, and his other uncle Mihajlo, whose body was later found headless, were killed on September 24, 1992, in Podravanje. "This is a unique case of one man experiencing two slaughters in two wars over 67 years of life by the same enemies," Mitrović said. He emphasizes that the Serbs who were hiding close to where his uncle was killed heard the butcher say, "You survived in 1941, but you won't this time," and severed Drago's head, which means he knew him. "No one was held accountable for the first /attempt to/ slaughter this man, which is why it was repeated. The criminals believed they could do this because they would not be punished again, which unfortunately came true. No one has been brought to justice for the murder of 60 Serbs from Podravanje in the last war, 32 of whom were killed on September 24, 1992, not even for the second slaughter of my uncle Drago," says Miloš Mitrović. The resolution on Srebrenica, sponsored by Germany and proposed to the UN General Assembly, nowhere mentions this and countless other cases of murders of Serbs and the destruction of their property, nor does it condemn the perpetrators who did this. This shows the intentions of the authors of the resolution, who want to shift their genocidal past onto the Serbs, thinking that by doing so, their responsibility will be forgotten. The genocide against the Serbian people in the middle Podrinje region in the 20th century, committed by German forces in two world wars, the Ustaše, or their "flowers" - Muslims, is not mentioned in the Srebrenica resolution because Germans are still mourning their ancestors who died as occupiers in these parts, believe family members of the killed and the surviving residents of the Srebrenica village of Podravanje. "This could not have been expected from the Germans because they still cannot overcome the defeats in those wars," believe family members of the killed and the surviving residents of the Srebrenica village of Podravanje. It is illusory to expect descendants to renounce their ancestors, tradition, culture, and history, which indicates that in both world wars, they suffered great losses and defeats in the Balkans, especially on the Drina. Hundreds of thousands of Serbian civilian victims in the wars of the 20th century are not mentioned in that shameful resolution proposed to the UN General Assembly for consideration.
