KOVAČEVIĆ: FOREIGN INFLUENCE WILL GROW WITH PURPOSE OF SEIZING PROPERTY, THAT IS OUR RED LINE

BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 2 /SRNA/ - The delegate of the Serb People's Club in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Radovan Kovačević, said in the SRNA podcast that in the coming period there will be more pronounced foreign influence in BiH, and that in this regard it is necessary to persevere in the fight for the jurisdictions of Republika Srpska and to protect property that is crucial for its survival.

"There, of course, the issue of property comes first. You also have the process that is being conducted against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, where someone wants to tell us that we as a people are neither smart enough nor democratically mature, European-aware or whatever, that we are those who are not capable of choosing our own representatives," Kovačević said. He pointed out that the foreigners will try in every possible way to challenge the elections through the support of those who are fighting against Republika Srpska in financial, organizational, media and any other sense. "In a way, we will be sabotaged through that Central Election Commission, which they also stole from the people and installed in it, beyond laws, procedures, competitions and anything else, political clowns and henchmen who will do what they need. Will they do it again through Christian Schmidt, who, as we have already said, has absolutely no mandate and no role here, we will see," Kovačević said. He stated that they will try to eliminate from political life those who were elected by the people, namely the people who want to have the right to choose and live freely, and that this is precisely the main obstacle on their way to confiscate property without which Srpska cannot exist. "They have a lot to take from Republika Srpska. In the first place property. They say that 'state property', as they call it, should be all the forests of Republika Srpska, and I will remind you that the forests of Republika Srpska make 53 percent of the territory," Kovačević pointed out. In addition to forests, there is also a huge amount of agricultural land at stake, and Kovačević indicates that it is a territory the size of the local communities of Ugljevik, Modriča and Zvornik. He stated that they want to take away water, rivers and springs from Srpska, and added that at this moment, Srpska derives its energy independence from these resources and has the opportunity to sell electricity on the international market, which enables low electricity prices for the local population. "Based on that, we made it possible for the electricity in Republika Srpska for our citizens to be by far the cheapest in all of Europe. And it is much cheaper than in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in all the countries of the region. We currently have not used even 50 percent of our hydro potential, and according to this what they want to impose, we will no longer be able to use a single segment of our water for the production of electricity," Kovačević said. He said that this is a "red line" that Republika Srpska will not and cannot cross, and that everyone is aware that the team gathered around the president and leader of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, is determined to protect forests, rivers and springs. "We know what it means and what it will mean in the future. We know what sources of drinking water, healthy water will mean, and we have them, thank God. They want to take all our roads, all our squares, so why are we here? "They will do everything to make sure we are gone and will support all possible ways of fighting against the team led by Milorad Dodik. We will fight, and the final decision is made by the people," Kovačević concluded.
