ŽUPLJANIN: SRPSKA TO DO EVERYTHING AND PROTECT THE PRESIDENT

BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 24 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska must do everything to protect the President of the Republic Milorad Dodik as a key institution in Srpska, because the attempt to forcibly bring him to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina after a recent operation is beyond the scope of morality, justice and medicine, said the president of the Organization of the Elders of the Republika Srpska Army /RSA/ Slobodan Župljanin.

Župljanin pointed out that such a situation is unacceptable and unprecedented, and that humane treatment of the president of Republika Srpska must be ensured. "It is not completely clear why the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina behaves this way and why it makes an exception in this case in relation to all the trials that take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Some regular processes, the trials of some Muslim commanders last for 10 or more years and no one raises a problem when they do not appear at the trial for a year," Župljanin pointed out. He emphasized that the Organization of RSA Elders suggests to the legal and medical team of the President of Republika Srpska that they exclusively follow the instructions of the medical team that performed the operation and monitor the state of health of the President of Srpska, and that everyone should behave that way. Župljanin said that the president of Republika Srpska could have stayed in Serbia after the operation and recover there, but that he is still in Republika Srpska and does not run away from any responsibility. "The President of Republika Srpska did not run away," Župljanin told journalists in Banja Luka today, before the start of the session of the Presidency of this organization. Župljanin said that Republika Srpska must continue to act to protect its property, institutions, the Serbian people as a whole and every individual who is threatened by political Sarajevo and by foreign factors as the source of all problems in BiH and Srpska. "Whenever the political leaders in Republika Srpska and BiH agree on anything, the foreign factor appears as disruptive and diverts everything from the only possible path that would be paved by the democratic political agreement of the internal political factor in BiH and Republika Srpska," Župljanin stated. The member of the Presidency of the Organization of RSA Elders Gostimir Popović said that this organization will continue to work intensively on the unity of the Serbian people, their joint survival and development, not endangering anyone, but preserving all its powers in all places.
