BOSNIAKS UNLAWFULLY INSTALLING THEIR SYMBOLS, WHILE DESTRYING SERBS’

SREBRENICA, JANUARY 23 /SRNA/ - For years, Srebrenica Bosniaks have been illegally erecting various memorials and fountains with inappropriate contents on usurped land, while destroying Serb monuments, the leader of Srebrenica SDS, Momčilo Cvjetinović, told SRNA.

Cvjetinović has called on the authorities to prevent the illegalities committed by Bosniaks in this area in every way, as well as to protect the Serbian Orthodox Church and its representatives. "The exact number of Bosniak memorials, hair-fountains and Muslim mausoleums built in the territory of the municipality is unknown, but a large number of them is known without construction permit or any approval requested or obtained for any of them," pointed out Cvjetinović, who is also a councilor in the local parliament. He pointed out that the Bosniaks are bothered by everything that the Serbs mark, initiating a media hunt on the Srebrenica priest and abbot Luka, while they do everything illegally, showing disrespect for Republika Srpska and the Serb people. Cvjetinović believes that such behaviour and attitude are inadmissible, as is the chilling and inadmissible public assertion of the local Imame Damir Pestalić that scum gather in the church. "No one is held responsible for such statements. Here, Bosniaks have become sassy not shying away from lies, slander, arrogance and acting as if everything is theirs and that they have the right to everything, while Serbs are second-class citizens because they are considered protected from unilateral and the biased judiciary of BiH," emphasized Cvjetinović. He illustrates this with the example that Bosniaks submitted a criminal complaint to the Court of BiH against the abbot of the Karno monastery, although it is known that that Court is not competent for this case. "Doing it, they intend to show disrespect for Republika Srpska and its institutions and provoke a reaction in order to request international help for alleged threat," Cvjetinović believes. He emphasized that in the post-war period, the Bosniaks were massively erecting various memorials, systematically destroying the Serb ones and symbols, and cited the example of destroying and desecrating memorials in Pećište, Studenac, Ratkovići and several times in Gladovići for which no one has been held resposnible. Cvjetinović stated that the blame for such a relationship lies partly with the local government, which did not prevent the illegal installation of memorials and insisted on finding and holding accountable those who desecrated Serb memorials and graves. Cvjetinović considers the theft of crosses from graves at Kraljeva Voda be another erasure of the traces of the crimes committed by the ancestors of today's Bosniaks against the Serbs. "They buried their people killed in the attack on Skelani on January 16, 1993, but they relocated them to Potočare without the knowledge and consent of the competent authorities, even though there is a prescribed procedure and way to relocate the remains," said Cvjetinović. According to him, the tolerance of the Serb side, many years of silence of accusations and untruths led to such arrogance, abuses and illegal behaviour of the Bosniak side. Cvjetinović called on the authorities of Republika Srpska to protect Abbot Luka and the Serbian Orthodox Church, supporting him in his mission because the opponents want to destroy Serb spirituality in this area.
