DODIK: I AM PROUD THAT I WILL BE PRESENT AT CELEBRATION IN MOSCOW ON MAY 9
BELGRADE, APRIL 19 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that he is proud to attend the commemoration of 80 years since the victory over fascism in Moscow and stressed that Russia is fighting for the letter and the original Dayton and what the two entities and three peoples in BiH agree on.
Dodik pointed out that he recently had an excellent meeting with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, who told him that he previously had an excellent conversation with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and that they discussed Srpska, and that Republika Srpska is a common interest of Russia and Serbia, which are signatories and guarantors of the Dayton Peace Accords "Our serious friend is also the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, who is aware of all the events here and understands our situation much better than those who are here," Dodik told "Večernje Novosti". He also said that reactions will probably follow when they see him in Moscow on May 9 and asked who those from the EU, who are telling Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić not to go to Moscow for the celebration, are. "Who are they to say that? Europe is changing the narrative and now they have decided not to make May 9 Victory over Fascism Day, but to make it Europe Day and not mention fascism. And now we are to blame for not accepting it. We are dealing with bigger and stronger ones. I think we are the most guilty for not accepting their impositions. If you don't accept injustice, then the injustice never happened," Dodik pointed out. Dodik emphasized that he is a child of Kozara and that he grew up fearing the Ustasha and the Germans. Answering the question whether he believes that the government in Belgrade will stay with him until the end, Dodik said that cooperation with Belgrade is excellent. "I believe that President Vučić is the only person who can stabilize Serbia and that he should do it as soon as possible," said Dodik. He emphasized that the Serbs are persistently not allowed to solve their national question and added that he thinks the Serbs must highlight this as their demand and be much more united. "We have to create a situation where everyone will know that we really want it, but we don't have to say it. We need wisdom. Our enemy is often our weakness and lack of desire to unite around national problems. We have to unite," said Dodik. He added that he is not talking about secession and violent separation. "We have no such plans. But we have a plan to participate in political processes. Why do others have the right to be with their people, and we don't," asked Dodik. He recalled that when Germany was unifying, the slogan "We are one nation" was used. "When I say that we are Serbs from Republika Srpska and Serbia, the same people immediately receive the answer: No, you are `Bosnian' Serbs. What Bosnian Serbs? We are Serbs," emphasized Dodik. He pointed out that the name "Bosnian Serbs" was attempted to be set up by Muslims from Sarajevo in 1993 when they decided to call themselves Bosniaks instead of Muslims. "Although Alija Izetbegović was against the name Bosniaks, he was presented in Sarajevo at the 'Holiday Inn' hotel that when Muslims become Bosniaks, then Serbs will become `Bosnian Serbs' and Croats `Bosnian Croats'. This is a false war narrative that is still being pushed today about `Bosnian Serbs' as the bad guys," said Dodik. Responding to the question whether it is illusory to expect anything positive from the appeal in the process being conducted against him, Dodik answered with the question "what is there to expect?", stating that he has been judged in advance. According to him, it is a verdict that the former American ambassador to BiH, Michael Murphy, came up with together with the Sarajevo Carshia. "This is a well-known Sarajevo story directed against the Serbs, which was also before the war when they expelled the more prominent Serbs. During the war, and after it, they destroyed everything related to the Serbs in the FBiH from Sarajevo. They also destroyed every business that the Serbs tried to start in the FBiH," said Dodik. The President of Republika Srpska emphasized that he is the only one who sees it. "And when I say `you can work in Srpska, but allow us to work in the Federation of BiH,' then immediately there is talk that I am expelling someone," Dodik stated.
