STAMENKOVSKI: WE WILL NEVER CLOSE THE DOOR TO OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS FROM SRPSKA
VIŠEGRAD, JUNE 7 /SRNA/ - Serbia will never abandon Republika Srpska, and will never close the door to our brothers and sisters, Serbia's Minister of Family, Youth and Sports, Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski, said today in Andrićgrad.
At the event “Encounters on the Drina – Bridges of Serbian Unity” in Andrićgrad, Stamenkovski emphasized that it is a great honor to stand on land where every stone bears witness to the endurance of the Serbian people. "Today’s gathering is more than a brotherly embrace – it is a symbol of our determination to be a bridge, a support, and a source of strength for one another. It affirms our resolve to stand united, to preserve Serbian unity, and to regard Serbia and Republika Srpska as one family," Stamenkovski emphasized. She recalled that the All-Serbian Assembly was held a year ago, and that the Declaration adopted at that time opened the door to cooperation, stressing that they are here today to send a message that the continuity of those decisions endures. "President Dodik, the verdict delivered against you was actually directed at Republika Srpska, which we rejected and sent a message that we will never give up on our vision," Stamenkovski emphasized. She added that Serbia will always care about the survival and independence of the Serbian people in Republika Srpska. “The vision for the 21st century is peace, freedom, prosperity, social justice, and spiritual and demographic renewal,” she said, emphasizing that Serbs do not want others to shape their identity. “We do not fear the darkness; we will never bow our heads. A new dawn will come for those who have not forgotten who they are and have preserved their roots. Serbs have always stood firm in the hardest of times. Our unity is the light that will dispel fear. May the unity of our people on both sides of the Drina River be eternal, like the Sun,” Stamenkovski said. This event marks the first anniversary of the All-Serbian Assembly and the signing of the Declaration on the Protection of the National and Political Rights and the Shared Future of the Serbian People. The event is jointly organized by the governments of Republika Srpska and Serbia as a symbol of the ties between the Serbian people on both sides of the Drina River.
