KOJIĆ: ORIĆ IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW BiH JUDICIARY TURNS CRIMINALS INTO “HEROES”

BANJA LUKA, JULY 12 /SRNA/ – The President of the Organisation of Families of Captured, Missing and Killed Serbs of Srebrenica, Branimir Kojić, stated that Naser Orić is the best example of how the Court of BiH turns criminals into “heroes” and monsters into businessmen, adding that as long as this is the case, BiH has no chance of survival.

Kojić emphasized that Orić should first be held accountable before the BiH judiciary for the brutal murder of Judge Slobodan Ilić, as well as for numerous other crimes against Serbs. "This is just one among many crimes committed against the Serb people in Central Podrinje and Birač, for which Naser Orić and his soldiers are responsible," Kojić told SRNA. He reminded of the book “Planned Chaos” by author Ibran Mustafić, which describes how Orić personally tortured and brutally slaughtered Judge Slobodan Ilić, first gouging out his eyes. Kojić stressed that he was present at Orić’s trial when he heard testimony about this crime, and it made his blood run cold. According to him, “the injustice court of BiH remained silent, and even such testimony was not enough to convict the butcher.” "Instead of rotting in prison, Naser Orić gives speeches to motorcyclists who are setting off on some so-called ‘peace march,’ which is everything but that, since those same bikers spent the entire night rampaging through Srebrenica, disturbing the peace," Kojić said. Today in Zalazje, Srebrenica municipality, the 33rd anniversary is being marked for the killing of 69 Serb civilians and soldiers on Petrovdan, July 12, 1992, in this village and in Sase, as well as in Biljača and Zagonje in the Bratunac area. In addition to the 69 killed and many wounded on that tragic Petrovdan, 22 Serbs went missing, seven of whom were alive at the time. Of the 22 missing, 10 were accidentally found and exhumed on June 10, 2011, from a mass grave during the search for killed Bosniaks. The remains of the victims were identified more than a year later and buried on Petrovdan in 2012, while two were exhumed, identified, and buried earlier. Ten of the missing have still not been found, and their traces disappear in the detention facility at the former Srebrenica police station. None of the captured survived, and no one has been held accountable for their killings.
