BUDIMIR OPENS "GENDARMERIE MULTI-SKILL COMPETITION"

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 8 /SRNA/ – The Minister of Interior of Republika Srpska, Željko Budimir, today opened the "Gendarmerie Multi-Skill Competition" in Zalužani outside Banja Luka, with the members of all Gendarmerie units, the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, and the First Battalion of the Sixth Infantry Brigade of the Third Infantry /Republika Srpska/ Regiment participating.

In his address, Budimir emphasized that Republika Srpska is ready to respond to all security challenges, thanks to a capable and well-organised police force. "The Republika Srpska institutions are the barrier that protects Srpska and its people," Budimir stated. He noted that this competition is a test of skills and expressed satisfaction with the great interest from participants. "I wish you all good luck during the competition," Budimir added. The "Gendarmerie Multi-Skill Competition" was also attended by Police Director Siniša Kostrešević. This sports and tactical competition is being held for the first time, modeled after similar contests among elite special forces around the world, and includes a variety of tactical and firearms tasks. The competition, organized by the Gendarmerie, is taking place at the Training Centre.
