BUDIMIR: OPPOSITION DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN STRUGGLE FOR SRPSKA, BUT FOR POWER

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 18 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Interior Minister Željko Budimir says the opposition did not participate in defending the institutions of Republika Srpska, but rather fought for political power by cooperating with those who caused the biggest crisis to date.

"Why are you now talking about defending Republika Srpska when we’ve had a permanent crisis over the past three years, caused by the former administration of Joseph Biden? Republika Srpska was fighting against it, while you didn’t take part. Don’t try to hide," Budimir told the opposition members during the National Assembly’s special session. Budimir emphasized that the opposition collaborated with those who wanted to dismantle Republika Srpska, just to gain power. "We wouldn’t be in this situation now if we were united after Christian Schmidt’s decisions, and if one side hadn’t chosen to cooperate with them for the sake of power," Budimir added. He told the opposition that, given everything happening, it is essential they read the Constitution without interpreting it in ways that do not reflect reality. "You are not interpreting the Constitution correctly; in order to do so, you must be familiar with the Constitution," Budimir stressed.
