KOJIĆ: PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE AND COURT SHOULD INITIATE PROCEEDINGS AGAINST ZUKAN HELEZ
SREBRENICA, JANUARY 10 /SRNA/ – Head of the Organisation of Families of Captured and Fallen Soldiers and Missing Civilians of Srebrenica, Branimir Kojić, called on the Prosecutor’s Office and the Court of BiH to initiate proceedings against the Minister of Defence in the Council of Ministers, Zukan Helez, for an attack on the constitutional order of both BiH and Republika Srpska.
Kojić told SRNA that Helez’s statements that “the time has come to abolish the entities” are nothing more than a new attack on Republika Srpska and a struggle for a unitary BiH modeled on Alija Izetbegović’s “Islamic Declaration”. "The Serb people would tomorrow move toward separation from the Federation of BiH and toward their own independence or unification with Serbia, but when someone from Republika Srpska says that, they are accused of secessionism. When individuals like Helez and similar Islamic fanatics say such things, it is then portrayed as respect for BiH and the spirit of Dayton," Kojić said. He stresses it is evident that Zukan Helez has convinced himself that he can abolish something for which more than 24,000 of the finest sons and daughters gave their lives. "Republika Srpska is a permanent category and, as such, will decide its own fate together with its people, which Helez as well as other Sarajevo Serb-haters must accept," Kojić concluded.
